So when the team at Anker asked us if we'd like to check out their latest Soundcore speaker the Soundcore Motion+ an update on their previous portable range, we simply couldn't say no.

Out of the box the Soundcore Motion+ carries that trademark Anker Soundcore stylish aesthetic, allowing it to seamlessly integrate within any household or office setting. The speaker itself has a curved 15 degree front, which we're told enables the Soundcore to disperse it's sound comfortably. Filling rooms with music rather than simply projecting the audio forward as with other bluetooth speakers.

The system's footprint is also impressively small at just 8.1 x 7.9 x 25.7cm with a weight of just 1.05kg. This makes it absolutely ideal for letting the Motion+ seamlessly sit alongside a range of home setups or allowing it to be carried out and about. We also loved the fact that you can tailor the eq settings of the Motion + to your specific tastes. This makes it great for quickly flipping between preferences for audiobooks or even parties!

What's also particularly reassuring is the fact that the Motion+'s tech is protected by an IPX7 waterproof casing. This means its casing provides a total barrier against liquids.! A great feature especially if you're considering taking the speaker to the beach or using it on the go. Coupled with the fact that battery life is also an impressive 12 hour playtime with it's 6,700maH battery. So you don't need to worry about the music running out when you're away from a charge point.

Setting up is impressively quick and we didn't have issues with connecting to our smartphone. Straight away it's evident from the sheer quality of audio that Soundcore has again surpassed themselves in terms of audio richness There's a myriad of reasons why the audio is so impressively rich, including Anker's ‘Hi-Red Audio' enhanced by Qualcomm aptX which ensures lossless music reproduction when streaming via Bluetooth. Also Anker's ultra-wide frequency range which stretches from 50hz to 40khz paired with an advanced DSP. This feature makes sure all the finer details from your audio are enhanced and details of a song are faithfully replayed via the Motion+.

Also, bass and treble have been significantly improved, something which was particularly noticeable when playing bass-heavy music. This is down to the Motion+'s two ultra-high frequency tweeters, two neodymium woofers and two passive radiators which again ensure every area of your space is filled with 30w of rich playback.
